We are seeking a Cyber Security Incident Response Consultant to join one our global clients in Belgium for a Long term freelance opportunity to lead the charge against cyber threats by detecting, analysing, and responding to security incidents in real-time.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate and review of playbook updates, incident reports, and cross-team coordination to ensure accuracy, compliance.
- Drive the handling of security incidents by defining and assigning response actions to IT personnel and following up on their execution.
- Analyse root causes of incidents and recommend technical and procedural improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Perform digital forensic analysis on endpoints, servers, network traffic, and cloud environments.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years experience in Incident response.
- Experience with (security) incident management in a SOC, CSIRT or IT environments.
- Experience collaborating with cross-Functional teams, vendors and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, forensic tools, and threat intelligence platforms.
